About the Skunks
Submitted by Wilcox on Mon, 2009-06-22 12:52A few folks form Ames did some early RAGBRAI's. In 1978 they decided to car-pool out for the ride. Needing a name for this new group, Team Skunk was decided upon. The next year a few more friends joined them and soon the team was a car-pool that got out of hand. Today Team Skunk has up to 120 full week riders on RAGBRAI plus a few more who only do part of the week.
2010 campgrounds
Submitted by Wilcox on Tue, 2010-07-20 16:13Sioux City: We are in the main campground of Chris Larsen Park. Our illustrious drivers will find a spot for us on Friday night and guard it with their very lives until we arrive there on Sat. We were told it is first come, first serve, so we're going to try to be one of the first! Lisa and Scott will let me know where our spot is. I know some of you will be driving there yourself, so keep my cell number handy 515-669-6163 so you can call to get directions. We appreciate you two making the early trip. Also, thanks to Jerry Phelps for making that first call to get the wheel rolling!
